Position Summary The College of Arts and Science is seeking a dedicated Assistant Dean for Pre-Professional Advising. This individual will oversee the complex application process for 450 pre-law and 400 pre-health students University-wide, including alumni seeking to enter law and health professional schools. This role will plan and supervise the implementation of pre- professional advisement services, including information and orientation sessions for prospective and incoming students, curricular recommendations, etc. In addition, the incumbent will continuously review and monitor student course options, working with departmental directors of undergraduate studies and GNU directors where necessary to increase the variety and availability of offerings to strengthen pre- professional students' applications. Qualifications Required Education: Master's Degree Preferred Education: Terminal degree, ideally an Ed.D, Ph.D, JD or other professional degree and Required Experience: 4 years' relevant experience in academic services administration or student advisement, including staff supervision Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Superior communication skills both written and oral, for all levels of individuals; detailed knowledge of law professions.
